Safety & Compliance

At Montero Performance Racing (MPR), safety, responsibility, and compliance are the foundation of everything we do. Motorsports carries inherent risk, and we believe that professionalism begins with preparation, discipline, and respect for the rules that govern the sport. Our program is built around minimizing risk, protecting participants, and operating in a manner that reflects the highest standards of conduct on and off the track.

How MPR Racing Keeps Our Team Safe.

Driver Standards & Preparation

All drivers representing MPR are expected to meet and maintain strict standards, including:

  • Participation in approved driver training programs

  • Compliance with licensing requirements set by sanctioning bodies

  • Physical and mental readiness to compete

  • Respect for race officials, fellow competitors, and track personnel

  • Adherence to all track rules and event regulations

Driver development at MPR emphasizes:

  • Race awareness

  • Controlled aggression

  • Decision-making under pressure

Accountability for actions on track

Vehicle Safety & Equipment

MPR vehicles are prepared and maintained with safety as a top priority. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Regular mechanical inspections before and after events

  • Compliance with class and series technical regulations

  • Use of approved safety equipment such as:

    • SA-rated helmets

    • Fire-resistant racing suits and gloves

    • Proper seat mounting and harness systems

    • Roll protection where required

  • Routine checks of braking, steering, suspension, and fuel systems

Vehicles are not permitted to enter competition unless they meet required safety and technical standards.

Crew & Pit Safety

Safety extends beyond the driver. All crew members and pit personnel are expected to:

  • Follow pit lane safety rules at all times

  • Wear appropriate protective gear when required

  • Remain aware of moving vehicles and equipment

  • Operate tools and machinery responsibly

  • Follow instructions from team leadership and race officials

Clear communication, organization, and discipline in the pit area are essential components of MPR operations.

Risk Awareness & Responsibility

Motorsports involves inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated. MPR acknowledges these risks and takes reasonable steps to mitigate them through preparation, training, and compliance.

Participants, drivers, and team members understand that:

  • Racing is a voluntary activity

  • Personal responsibility is required at all times

  • Safety procedures must be followed without exception

Compliance With Racing Organizations

MPR complies with the rules, regulations, and codes of conduct established by:

  • Sanctioning bodies

  • Track operators

  • Event organizers

  • Insurance and licensing authorities

We do not participate in unsanctioned or unsafe racing activities. All competition and testing activities are conducted within approved environments and under established regulations.

Sponsor & Partner Assurance

We recognize that sponsors and partners place trust in our organization. MPR is committed to representing our partners in a manner that reflects:

  • Responsibility

  • Professional conduct

  • Ethical operations

  • Safety-focused decision-making

Partner branding is never associated with reckless behavior, unsafe practices, or non-compliant activities.

Our Safety Philosophy

MPR operates under a safety-first mindset. Performance and competition are never prioritized over the well-being of drivers, crew members, officials, or spectators. Every decision—from equipment selection to driver preparation—is evaluated through the lens of safety and responsibility.

We believe that safe racing is smart racing, and professionalism is measured by how well risks are managed, not ignored.
